Terms of Service – Students & Parents
By enrolling in tutoring with Unblok, students and parents agree to the following Terms of Service:
1. Services
1.1. We provide online tutoring in a one-to-one or small group format.
1.2. Teachers are assigned based on suitability and availability.
1.3. The Company reserves the right to reassign or substitute teachers when necessary.
1.4. We do not guarantee specific outcomes such as grades, results, or admissions.
2. Scheduling
2.1. Class schedules are arranged in agreement between teachers and students.
2.2. Students are expected to join on time. Delays beyond 15 minutes will be treated as class completed.
2.3. Rescheduling must be requested in advance, subject to availability of both teacher and student.
3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
3.1. Cancellation by Student
3.1.1. Post-Noon Class (scheduled after 12PM)
3.1.1.1. Informed >4 hrs: No charge.
3.1.1.2. Informed between 2–4 hrs: 25% of rate charged.
3.1.1.3. Informed between 1–2 hrs: 50% of rate charged.
3.1.1.4. Informed <1 hr: 75% of rate charged.
3.1.1.5. No inform (No-show): 100% of rate charged.
3.1.2. Pre-Noon Class (scheduled before 12PM)
3.1.2.1. Informed >8 hrs: No charge.
3.1.2.2. Informed between 3–8 hrs: 25% of rate charged.
3.1.2.3. Informed between 1–3 hrs: 50% of rate charged.
3.1.2.4. Informed <1 hr: 75% of rate charged.
3.1.2.5. No inform (No-show): 100% of rate charged.
3.2. Cancellation by Teacher
3.2.1. Post-Noon Class (scheduled after 12PM)
3.2.1.1. Informed >4 hrs: No charge.
3.2.1.2. Informed between 2–4 hrs: 15 min free session added to next class.
3.2.1.3. Informed between 0–2 hrs: 30 min free session added to next class.
3.2.1.4. No inform (No-show): 1 hr free session.
3.2.2. Pre-Noon Class (scheduled before 12PM)
3.2.2.1. Informed >8 hrs: No charge.
3.2.2.2. Informed between 1–8 hrs: 15 min free session added to next class.
3.2.2.3. Informed between 0–1 hr: 30 min free session added to next class.
3.2.2.4. No inform (No-show): 1 hr free session.
4. Fees & Payments
4.1. Fees are charged by the hour at the agreed rate.
4.2. All payments must be made in advance (weekly or monthly basis).
4.3. Services may be paused or terminated if payments are delayed.
4.4. Fees are non-refundable except at the discretion of the Company if services cannot be provided.
5. Student & Parent Responsibilities
5.1. Provide a suitable learning environment: stable internet, device, and quiet workspace.
5.2. Students must attend classes regularly, complete assignments, and show respectful conduct.
5.3. Parents should support timely attendance and communication with teachers.
6. Conduct
6.1. Respectful behavior is required at all times.
6.2. Harassment, abuse, or inappropriate behavior will result in termination of services without refund.
6.3. Recording or sharing class sessions without written consent is strictly prohibited.
7. Confidentiality & Data
7.1. Student and parent details are kept confidential.
7.2. Materials provided are for personal use only and may not be shared or redistributed.
8. Technical Issues
8.1. Students/parents are responsible for having required devices and internet.
8.2. The Company is not liable for issues caused by poor internet connectivity or device failures.
9. Termination
9.1. Either party may discontinue services with 7 days’ written notice.
9.2. The Company may terminate services immediately in cases of misconduct, repeated cancellations, or non-payment.
