Consistency does matter
The most strenuous part for any individual in achieving something they set their mind on is to not break the consistency in the efforts they put in. In the end, what matters is not how much you do but how you did that particular task. It also should be seen that the consistency is not only from the student but the educational system as well. They need to keep the policies and rules which leads the students towards the path of growth as an individual and in the society.
To achieve great outcomes in learning and otherwise has the simple key or tool, that is consistency. Consistency as a term means to stick or adhere to a set principle in a straight and steadfast way. There should be loafing around or leniency in the principles. This leads to the loss of interest and helps the individual to find a number of diversions to get away from their assigned task. The incomplete task results in procrastination.
To do the same thing over and over again and similar ones in different situations helps an individual to identify and predict the future expectations with minimal deviations and variations. It is a routine that has been developed which after following for more number of days turn into a habit of the individual. This makes the individual be ready to respond and react to anticipated events.
The positive side of this consistency is that it can be attained by any individual and can develop such a character which is consistent and that supports in having an emotional and a rational balance.
- Start your day with positive attitude – to let go of the past and bad days is a task. But to know when to draw a line, learn, reflect, and move on will make the upcoming days better and productive. To be aware of the fact that you cannot change the past happenings is important.
- Try to stay emotionally stable – there are certain things that annoys one. The temper has to be kept in control as it only kills the good mood and energy. Finding a way to form positive opinions and emote them in a certain manner is challenging but will only bring out the positive end. Making efforts to listen and understand the others point of view in such scenarios is as important as forming one’s own views.
- Smiling helps – there is no end to how much a smile can brighten your mood. Listening to a couple of songs or watching something that makes you feel alive and active can cheer you up. Once this mood is set, head back to what you were doing and complete it without any stress.
- Go through the process – if you have set something in mind and want to do it, do it. Make your schedule free for it and allot a specific time for it in the day. Do what you want to do with complete interest so that the work done is credible.
- Being proactive and not just reactive – your work should not be a reaction to the given stimulus instead has to be something which is being done by own will. Do not sit and watch the world going by. Get up, get your mind working and be present in that moment. Come out and see what is happening or coming your way before it brings the storm.
- Be prepared for what is coming – be aware of what is happening around you. Anticipate and expect things. This gives you enough time to be prepared and respond, both emotionally and physically.
- Explain and be open – knowing that we all are social beings, to live like a closed book will make it a little harder for survival. When you are an open book and explain your thought process, people can make better assessment and the bond is created.
Working smart and hard is one thing but to be consistent in what you do defines your passion, how much of the set goal you want to achieve and the manner you achieve it in. Stay put and get it done with less bumps in the process.
