Know how to tackle your exams

Every student is told that their 10th board exams are crucial and that it decides where they land themselves in the future. This being a stressful time of the year for the students along with their parents, one should be ready to face the exams by being prepared for it with no stones left unturned. This blog guides you through the process comprehensively, whether you are in 10th or 12th grade.

  • Know your syllabus – it is of the utmost importance that the student is aware of the complete syllabus that is going to be tested for in the board exams. Knowing what the syllabus is helps the student prioritise and prepare so that the chapters they find it difficult are also given ample amount of time.

  • Sticking to a plan – in order to stay on track, one needs to create a study plan and stick to it. Allot adequate time for each subject and a couple of days for revision as well. You can make the schedule with alternate subjects and have it not being repetitive or tiring.
  • Making use of all the resources – studying the prescribed texts thoroughly will make you be ready for the exams on a certain scale. But to cover the same syllabus across different resources and study materials available will give you in-depth information of the topics.
  • Practice papers – to practice and solve the previous years papers is one of those methods which never fails in the preparation process. Not only does the student get an idea of how the questions will be set, they also can learn how to manage their time and complete the paper without skipping any questions.

  • Seeking help – if there comes a difficulty and you need help from friends or teachers, asking them immediately and clarifying it is necessary. One shouldn’t hesitate to ask for help when they know the others will help them.

  • Taking breaks – having small breaks in the study schedule is needed to refresh your body after continuous hours of studying. Take some time off to have a power nap, meditate, small walks, or play. Having breaks in between the studying will not make it seem like a burden and it will re-energise your body for more hours to study.

Along with all these comes the part where the student has to take care of their physical and mental health so that they are not burnt out by the end of the studying time. For that to not happen they must,

  • Not take the load of burden and let it affect them.
  • Use fun techniques while studying so that it feels light and they can retain more information.
  • Maintaining a nutritious and healthy diet.
  • Having some time allotted for physical activity to keep the mind and body fresh and energized throughout the day
  • Getting enough sleep to rest the body.
